The Uncharted series has been one of my absolute favorites since I first played the original game way back on the PS3.  So, it was a no brainer that I would purchase the fourth and final installment to feature protagonist Nathan Drake.  As a way to celebrate the final curtain call for one of the most original characters in video games, I decided to shell out for the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Collector’s Edition.  Packed to the gills with cool stuff, this collectors set features a cool statue of Nathan as well as a few more interesting goodies.

Everything is packed in a pretty large box with a cool slipcover to protect the inner casing.  The statue of Nathan Drake in packed in a block of Styrofoam with the Steelbook and the art-book placed in slots in the top half of the protective casing.  These are the first things that you will see so be careful when you open the box because they will fall out if you do not open it flat.

Limited Edition Steelbook

This is one of the coolest Steelbooks that I have ever seen.  The artwork is spectacular and features all of the main characters in a dark and foreboding setting.  The story is serious and there is a lot at stake and that feeling definitely comes through in the visuals captured on the front and back cover of the game case.  If you are into collecting different and unique Steelbooks, this one would be a very nice choice to add to your collection.

The art book is filled with concept art of the different characters and various locations in the game.  It is a fairly small hard cover book with only 47 pages but it gives a glimpse of the direction that the artists were trying to take in creating a unique look and feel while maintaining the Uncharted charm.

Sticker Sheets and Multiplayer Bonuses

Included in the game case are four sets of sticker sheets that you can use to decorate your notebooks, console or whatever item you own that you would like to adorn with cool stickers.  You get a sticker with each of the pirate emblems that appear in the game as well as a black and a silver Naughty Dog sticker.  In addition, there is also a download code that will net you some cool weapon skins and outfit skins to use in the multiplayer portion of the game.

This statue is very impressive.  The level of detail is astonishing and it actually looks like the Nathan Drake model that is used in the game.  It is very solid and feels sturdy.   It stands at a good 12″ and will fit into your collection nicely.  The paint job is also an aspect that stands out.  The colors are bright and vivid and really brings the statue to life.  This is definitely the center piece of the entire collection and is worthy of a place on your collectables shelf.

Overall, while this isn’t the absolute best collector’s edition that I have ever purchased, it is still a decent tribute to a fan favorite.  I grabbed my copy from Amazon for $119.99 but if you are an Amazon Prime Member you can get it for $95.99.  While the art book is cool, it doesn’t contain a lot of content and the stickers didn’t really thrill me all that much.  The multiplayer DLC is decent if you are going to play but they will just go to waste if you don’t.  The statue is by far the “pièce de résistance” of the collection, so if you are happy with it, then it is money well spent.
