Become a writer

Do you have a passion for games?

Writing blog posts everyday isn’t something that just anyone can do, but those who have been doing it for any amount of time have discovered the satisfaction that comes with putting together a cool post with just the right amount of wit to make it ready for the public to read.

If this sounds like something that you are interested in doing and you have the time and the motivation to do so then we welcome you.  If you do join our team, we need you to be totally sure that you can commit to writing, otherwise you are just wasting your time — and ours.

If the paragraph above doesn’t scare you away, you strongly feel that you can become a positive asset to The Gamers Couch, and fit (one of) the available positions listed below, then come on in and grab a seat.

Our goal is to bring together people who do nothing but live and breathe video games 24/7, have a solid grasp of the English language, and can put together a decent sentence.  It doesn’t matter where you live or what you do for a living because everyone is welcome to apply for the available positions.

To apply, simply send us the following information below about yourself via the contact form or by emailing it to davidmlogan86@gmail.com:

  • Your full name
  • Age (18 minimum)
  • Position you are applying for
  • The city and country where you reside
  • A short description about yourself

That’s it!  We look forward to hearing from you, and even though we receive quite a few applications, we will get back to each applicant.

Available Positions

— Daily Writer

If you keep yourself up to date on the daily happenings of the video game world, then this is the position for you.  Daily Writers are expected to be handy with press releases and turning them into fun to read news posts while translating the PR silliness that overzealous marketers tend to include.  At least one post per day Mon-Fri is expected.

— Part-Time Writer

This position perfectly suits individuals who have jobs/school obligations but still want to be apart of The Gamers Couch writers team.  So whether you have free-time during the week or on the weekends, part-time writers are expected to write at least two articles per week.

PLEASE NOTE:  All positions are on a voluntary basis.  However, dedicated individuals will start receiving review copies sooner rather than later, are able to participate in putting together interviews, and enjoy other cool benefits.
